Traveller Care & Responsibility

Traveller Safety & Limitations

Good journey design can reduce avoidable problems. It cannot remove every travel risk. This page explains how Thrill My Guide approaches practical safety, what travellers remain responsible for and where TMG’s responsibility has limits.

Plan Carefully

Know The Limits

Use Current Guidance

TMG Safety Principle

Current safety information matters more than a beautiful itinerary.

Weather, crowds, transport conditions, local restrictions, health considerations and official instructions can change after a journey is planned. When safety information changes, the plan may need to change too.

Why This Page Exists

Travel always contains variables that no itinerary can completely control.

Thrill My Guide can use destination knowledge, traveller information, practical planning and current checks to reduce obvious mismatch and avoidable friction. It cannot guarantee that a journey will remain free from disruption, illness, crowding, delays, accidents, supplier failure, weather events, government restrictions or other circumstances that can arise during travel.

Safety is shared.

TMG has responsibilities in the services it actually provides. Travellers, independent suppliers, local authorities and other service providers also have their own responsibilities.

Safety In Journey Design

Practical safety begins before the traveller leaves home.

Traveller fit

Age, mobility, travel experience, pace, climate tolerance, crowd tolerance and practical needs can affect whether a journey is suitable.

Pace & buffers

Rest time, queue buffers and realistic transfer time can reduce avoidable physical strain and rushed decision making.

Routing

Route order, hotel location and transport planning can reduce unnecessary movement, but they cannot guarantee traffic or road conditions.

Current conditions

Safety conditions can change quickly. Current official instructions should take priority over an earlier itinerary.

Current Official Guidance

When information conflicts, current authority guidance comes first.

Travel content can become outdated. Entry rules, road conditions, crowd management, temple access, health requirements, transport schedules, local restrictions and weather warnings can change with little notice.

Travellers should follow current instructions issued by governments, transport operators, police, destination authorities, health authorities, religious institutions and other competent bodies relevant to the journey.

TMG rule

If a published TMG itinerary or travel page conflicts with newer official safety information, the newer official information should be followed.

Common Travel Risks

Conditions that may affect a journey

Weather & environment

Heat, cold, rain, flooding, fog, poor air quality, altitude, landslides and other environmental conditions may affect comfort, access and safety.

Crowds & queues

Pilgrimage sites, festivals, events and popular attractions may become substantially more crowded than expected.

Transport disruption

Traffic, breakdowns, cancellations, strikes, road closures and operational delays may change planned timings.

Food & hydration

Food handling, drinking water, heat and long travel days can affect physical comfort. Dietary and allergy requirements should be communicated clearly.

Local restrictions

Religious, cultural, government, security or operational restrictions may affect clothing, photography, entry, timing or behaviour.

Personal capacity

Walking, stairs, lack of sleep, long queues, unfamiliar weather and travel fatigue affect different people differently.

Health & Medical Limitations

TMG provides travel planning, not medical care.

TMG may consider information that a traveller chooses to provide about mobility, pace, food requirements or other practical needs. TMG is not a medical provider and does not diagnose conditions, determine medical fitness to travel or replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

Existing health conditions

Travellers should obtain appropriate professional advice where a health condition may affect their ability to travel safely.

Medication

Travellers remain responsible for carrying required medication, prescriptions and supporting documentation where necessary.

Emergency treatment

Availability and quality of medical care vary by destination and cannot be guaranteed by TMG.

Pilgrimage & Sacred Sites

Spiritual importance does not remove practical travel conditions.

Temple and pilgrimage journeys can involve early starts, long queues, crowd control, walking, security checks, restricted items, changing entry procedures and local religious practices.

Darshan timing, access, ritual availability or queue duration may change because of temple administration, security, festivals, weather, crowd management or other factors outside TMG’s control.

TMG can plan the sequence. TMG cannot guarantee the crowd.

Traveller Responsibilities

Every traveller remains responsible for essential travel readiness.

Documents

Carry valid identification, tickets, permits, visas and other documents required for the journey.

Personal fitness

Consider whether the planned walking, climate, elevation, pace and activities are suitable for you.

Instructions

Follow lawful instructions from local authorities, suppliers, guides, transport providers and site management.

Personal belongings

Take reasonable care of money, documents, devices, valuables and luggage.

Timings

Reach agreed meeting points, transfers, stations, airports and activities at the required time.

Material information

Tell TMG before booking about important mobility, dietary, access or other practical requirements relevant to the journey.

Independent Suppliers

TMG does not control every company involved in a journey.

Hotels, airlines, rail operators, transport providers, guides, activity providers, temples, attractions and booking platforms may be independent of Thrill My Guide.

Those providers control their own premises, staff, vehicles, equipment, safety procedures, availability and service delivery unless the booking documentation expressly states otherwise.

Events Beyond Reasonable Control

Some events can change or stop a journey without being caused by TMG.

Examples may include severe weather, natural disaster, epidemic, public health restriction, war, terrorism, civil disturbance, protest, government action, border restriction, strike, road closure, transport shutdown, infrastructure failure, supplier operational failure or unexpected closure of a destination, temple or attraction.

Where reasonably possible, TMG may assist with alternatives, date changes, route changes, supplier communication or recovery options. The availability of a refund, credit or replacement remains subject to the applicable booking terms, supplier conditions and applicable law.

Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Travel Insurance

Some travel risks are better managed through appropriate insurance.

Travellers should consider suitable travel insurance based on the journey and their circumstances, including where relevant cancellation, interruption, medical expenses, emergency assistance, baggage and other travel risks.

Insurance coverage, exclusions, eligibility and claim decisions are controlled by the insurer and the relevant policy wording.

What TMG Cannot Guarantee

Good planning is not a guarantee of a risk free journey.

No guarantee of specific weather.
No guarantee of crowd or queue duration.
No guarantee of uninterrupted transport.
No guarantee of temple or attraction access.
No guarantee of independent supplier performance.
No guarantee of personal, medical, emotional or spiritual outcomes.

Emergency Situations

Urgent safety comes before itinerary continuity.

In an immediate emergency, travellers should contact the appropriate local emergency service, police, medical provider, transport operator, hotel or competent authority as circumstances require.

Where TMG is reasonably able to assist with a journey-related issue, travellers may also contact TMG. TMG support is not a substitute for emergency services or professional medical assistance.

Important Legal Boundary

These limitations do not remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing on this page is intended to exclude, restrict or reduce any liability, consumer protection, duty or remedy that applicable law does not permit TMG to exclude.

The exact contractual position for an individual journey also depends on the applicable booking confirmation, supplier terms, TMG Terms and Conditions and the law governing the transaction.
