Accessibility At Thrill My Guide

Accessibility Statement

Travel should be easier to understand, plan and experience for more people. Thrill My Guide works to make its website, travel information and journey planning more usable for travellers with different mobility, sensory, age, comfort and access needs.

Practical Access

Traveller First

Our Approach

Accessibility is part of travel fit, not an afterthought.

Thrill My Guide designs journeys around the people travelling, their purpose, pace, comfort and practical requirements. Accessibility can affect every one of those decisions, from hotel location and walking distance to vehicle access, rest time, crowds, stairs and the sequence of the day.

Our goal is to identify important access needs early, communicate limitations clearly and avoid presenting a journey as suitable when important practical barriers are known.

Website Accessibility

We aim to make important travel information easier to use.

Clear structure

We aim to use meaningful headings, readable sections and logical content order so important information is easier to find.

Readable content

TMG aims to use clear language, reasonable contrast, readable text sizing and layouts that work across different screen sizes.

Image descriptions

Important content images should include useful alternative text where appropriate rather than relying only on the image itself.

Responsive pages

Public pages are intended to remain usable on desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

Forms and controls

We aim for form labels, buttons and interactive controls to communicate their purpose clearly.

Ongoing improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing process. New pages, tools, themes and third party components can create new barriers that may require correction.

Travel Accessibility

Accessibility on a journey depends on more than the website.

Real world accessibility can vary significantly by destination, hotel, temple, attraction, transport provider, road condition, crowd level and local infrastructure. Some historic, religious or natural locations may include stairs, uneven surfaces, long walking distances, queues or access restrictions.

TMG therefore does not describe a journey, destination or supplier as fully accessible unless the relevant access conditions have been appropriately confirmed.

Walking & stairs

We may consider approximate walking, steps, queues, rest opportunities and the physical flow of a journey.

Hotels

Lift access, room location, bathroom configuration and other accessibility features should be confirmed where they are important to the traveller.

Transport

Vehicle type, step height, seating, luggage and mobility equipment requirements may need to be checked before confirmation.

Pace & rest

A slower pace, additional buffers and rest periods may be more important than adding more sightseeing stops.

Tell Us Before Booking

Access needs are easier to plan for when we know them early.

Travellers should tell TMG about material mobility, access or comfort requirements before a booking is confirmed. This allows us to consider those requirements when discussing the journey and, where relevant, ask suppliers to confirm available facilities.

Useful information may include

Difficulty with stairs or long walks
Wheelchair or mobility aid requirements
Need for lift access
Need for additional rest time
Vehicle access considerations
Other practical access requirements

What TMG Can And Cannot Promise

We can plan around information. We cannot remove every physical barrier.

TMG can consider access requirements, ask practical questions, adjust pace, suggest alternatives and seek information from suppliers. We cannot guarantee that every destination, hotel, temple, attraction, transport provider or third party facility will meet every individual accessibility requirement.

Where a specific facility or form of assistance is essential to a traveller’s ability to undertake the journey, it should be expressly confirmed before payment or booking commitment.

Third Party Services

Some accessibility conditions are controlled by independent providers.

TMG may link to or arrange services involving hotels, transport operators, attractions, activity companies or other independent providers. Those providers control their own premises, equipment, staffing and accessibility facilities.

Information supplied by a third party may change. Where accessibility is essential, current confirmation from the relevant provider should be obtained before the service is relied upon.

Found A Barrier?

Tell us what prevented you from using the site or understanding the journey.

If you experience difficulty using a TMG page, form, document or travel information, please tell us what page you were using, what you were trying to do and what made it difficult.

Where reasonably possible, we will review the issue and may provide the information in another practical form while we investigate the underlying barrier.

Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is reviewed as TMG grows.

TMG continues to improve its pages, content structure, forms, images, mobile experience and travel information. Accessibility improvements may be introduced as problems are identified, technology changes or new services are added.

This statement should not be interpreted as a claim that every page, third party tool, document or travel service is free from accessibility barriers.
